Robin Singh is one of the underrated cricketers of Indian cricket and he has had a mixed bag of a career as he has only played 1 test match and more than 100 ODIs. He played between 1989- 2001 and he was one of the best fielders in the Indian team ever. He was also a very capable batter so he should have achieved much more than what he did in his career.
Robin Singh after retirement has been more active with cricket with the various coaching roles he has taken up in the leagues. In the IPL he coached Deccan Chargers in the first season in 2008 and he has been in the Mumbai Indians setup since 2010 where he has won 5 IPL titles as a coach and in the CPL he has been coaching the Barbados Tridents since 2013.
The most important contribution of Robin Singh to Indian cricket is his fielding and the impact that his fielding had on the team as a whole and it motivated the other players in his team to become better fielders and save runs and take tough catches.
