We will doing a stats Comparison of all these 4 legends and it will be a long series because these 4 changed the game for their respective nations. We are talking about Kapil Dev, Imran Khan, Ian Botham and Richard Hadlee.
In the first article we will look at the greatest all Rounders from India and Pakistan as we will compare the stats of Kapil Dev vs Imran Khan. This will be a special series and we will celebrate all of them. So, let’s get into the stats.
Kapil Dev
Kapil Dev is one of the greatest cricketers to ever play for India and the impact that he has had in Indian cricket is even felt till today as he was the one who was the first fast bowler to play for India and looking at him all the young fast bowlers took inspiration. He was also one of the most destructive batters.

Kapil Dev was a bonafide test cricket legend and he had one of the most incredible runs without ever getting injured. Kapil Dev was also an ODI legend and he was the man who changed the face of Indian cricket in 1983 when he led India to the World Cup. He played 225 ODIs for India and he scored 3783 runs. Imran Khan
Imran Khan is the greatest cricketer to ever play for Pakistan and all the players that came after him took inspiration from him to play cricket for Pakistan. Imran Khan was an institution and he won them the 1992 World Cup. He has a great run in both formats of cricket.

Imran Khan is a test cricket legend. He played 8( Test Matches for Pakistan in which he made 3807 runs at an average of 37.69. He also made 6 test hundreds and a highest score of 136. He was a great lower order batter. And as a fast bowler he was lethal as he took 362 test wickets at a very good average of 22.81. He also picked up 23 Five wicket hauls in his test career and he had a best bowling performance of 8/58.
ODI Cricket
Imran Khan was one of the greatest ODI all rounders of his time. He played 175 ODIs for Pakistan in which he scored 3709 runs at an average of 33.41. He made 1 ODI Hundred and a highest score of 102*. And aa a fast bowler he took 182 Wickets in ODIs at an average of 26.51 and he took 1 Five wicket haul in ODIs.

Now when we compare the stats of these 2 greats, we can see that in test cricket Kapil Dev has a slight edge because he has taken 70+ more wickets than Khan. He has also had a longer Career and as a batter he has scored more than 1500 runs than Imran Khan. In ODIs Kapil Dev again has a 70+ wickets advantage over Khan but in the batting Imran Khan has an edge over Kapil Dev when it comes to ODIs.
